Hi,

Does it also make the noise if you rotate the fan blades manually i.e. not by using the power?

Are any of the blades loose at all?

Hi Sethuraman,

I just went through this at my son's house; all of his ceiling fans were noisy in different ways; on two of them the blades were loose and just had to be tightened; the other one wasn't mounted well to the ceiling and had to be resecured.

So yeah, grab a Phillips screwdriver and tighten all the screws that hold the fan blades onto the motor. I'd almost be willing to bet that will take care of your noise.

Good luck; let us know how it goes!
