Can I replace CUH-ZCT2 battery connector with CUH-ZCT1 connector?

Hi good day! I accidentaly bought CUH-ZCT2 battery and I needed CUH-ZCT1 model I really don't want to go trough all the return process.
Is it possible to cut the small connector in the CUH-ZCT2 battery and solder the connector of my old CUH-ZCT1 battery (the one that doesn't work anymore) so it fits in the motherboard connector? I mean I know its possible but will it work? Thank you so much!

Usually the plastic connector has two slots on the side, using a fine blade you can gently press down the clip holding the connector in place. Remove the plastics and swap them between batteries.
