Hi @etranger,
Your issue is a faulty LCD return flex. Dust & debris gets under the flexes to the screen and in time cause pitting of the data lines.
The answer is a replacement screen. To prevent it from happening would recommend an artist paint brush to gently clean along the bottom of the screen baffle once a week or so.

These MacBooks are notorious for having a lot of issues (Screen, CPU, GPU, Keyboard, Ports, Logic Board, etc)
If I we're you I would just get a new computer... :(

@etranger connect an external monitor (HDMI TV or anything) to it. If that does not display the lines you know it is your screen that needs to be replaced. If that too, shows those lines you know that this is a issue with the video processing originating on the logic board.
