My new screen was unresponsive.

I replaced my cracked iPhone 8 screen with a new screen that I got from Ifixit once I turned the power on my new screen was unresponsive. How can I fix this issue. In the end I had to put the cracked screen that I wanted to replace in order for my touch screen to work… are there any solutions to this issue.

Hi

Iv seen this happen with a a couple iPod touches and all I had to do was clean the connectors with some 99% isopropyl and this issue went away

The isopropyl alcohol helps remove any dirt and debris that our eyes can’t see that could cause the screen not to work properly

If that doesn’t work I would contact iFixit customer support to see if they can do anything about the issue
