@oldturkey03 First i wanted to say thank you for your answer i found some similar capacitors on ebay as was in the video does it matter the shape? the ones i found on ebay are kind of diffrent to the ones from the video in terms of shape.

image upload didnt work however one is a blob looking thing and one is even rectangle

@ryanhh it will all depend on where in the world you reside. I get my replacement from places like mouser.com digikey.com or jameco.com. Shipping can be steep on shipping. I try not to buy single pieces and after a while you’ll build up a decent inventory. It also helps to get donor boards which I get from ebay or even alibaba. There are lots of other places and the best place is the one that will work for you. So always look around and keep an open mind. Try suppliers in your area since it helps to build business relationships.

@ryannhh you are looking for SMD capacitors. The ones you are looking at are « trough-the-hole » capacitors and cant be used. What capacitance do you need?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

@oldturkey03 for my personal project none but i was just looking for information how to find the right ones

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

@ryanhh the way I search for those is usually by SMD <capacitance> <voltage> < package size>. Sites that use a filtering system, like mouser or digikey allow for the type via those.

Your pictures are a little to fuzzy for me to identify your capacitors otherwise I would use those values for the search example

@oldturkey03 i screenshotted from video as far as i know its 16v either 10% or 20% thats all i know im a real beginner at motherboards only recently started learning

Do you know the capacitance? If not what are the markings on it and is the board you selected the actual one you are working on? Check this wiki to learn a little bit more about capacitors Capacitors 101
