Why am I lacking in boost on my 2008 wrx

So it’s been about a day or two when I noticed I started lacking in boost pressure. It does not go up to 6psi when before it was almost at 14psi what could cause this problem?

Worse case scenario, seized turbo requiring rebuild or replacement. If you can access the inlet side, try spinning the turbo as it should spin easily. Search Subaru WRX forums for owners sharing info.

Simplest answer:  bad gas.

More complicated:  leak in the downpipe causing a lack of pressure to spin the turbo.

Also possible:  Bad o2 sensor, defective wastegate
