I plug in the laptop and the light blinks 3x and pauses and repeats

I plug in my laptop and when I do, the “i” light blinks 3 times, pauses, and does it again indefinitely. When I try to turn it on, the keyboard fades on, and then abruptly turns off. When I unplug it, it does absolutely nothing. Would there be any reason why this happens and any way to fix it?
