What is wrong with the charger cable, e.g. fractured wire, cut cable, faulty plug?

To repair the cable you would have to open the charger to get access to where the cable wires connect to the board in the charger and then replace the cable with a similar cable having the appropriate wire gauge for the wires and also connect a new 1.7*4.0mm DC plug to the wires at the end of the cable. The +ve wire from the charger (usually red colour) is connected to the centre pin connector of the plug and the -ve wire (usually black colour) is connected to the barrel connector of the plug.

The plug is model # PP-013. Search online for the model number to find suppliers that suit you best.
