Take a cotton bud and put some isopropyl alcohol on it. Then insert it whist rotating it into the port. Due it a couple of times to clean it out.

I cannot say for sure without being able to see it but sounds as if there's something either stuck in the jack or the female part has fallen apart inside or gotten bent!

Start by using a flashlight to check inside of the Jack to make sure that there's no debris in there. Then take AQ tip with rubbing alcohol.Clean carefully down inside of the jack. If that doesn't work then you're gonna have to take Your phone apart somehow and take out the logic board and reflow the solder joints of the jack itself. But I stress that you double check your settings to make sure that it is allowing you to utilize a headphone set up With the Jack. Also, make sure your volume dial on the headphones is up and try utilizing a different pair of headphones. If you don't have a different pair of wired headphones, then you can go to a Dollar Tree 5 below or really Any dollar store and pick up a really cheap pair of headphones that can always be returned and try those out. And i hope this helps you. Please let me know if you get it figured out. Have a good day

What jack isn't working and what kind of device is this jack on, and when did it start happening and what were you doing when the problem started?

Use a flashlight to look into the jack for signs of dirt and debris, carefully use IPA 90% on a Q-Tip and twist it in and out of the jack, check your phone settings and make sure wired headphone connection is allowed and on. Or lastly carefully take your phone apart(look up a teardown video) take out the logic board and reflow the solder joints of the jack. And lastly if all that don't work then back up your entire phone except the settings and then factory reset the phone(this should be done every other month anyway). That's my advice to all out there hope it helps!!!

My suggestion to you would be to grab a flashlight and look down inside your hole for your headphone jack and see if there's a foreign piece of metal or even dust and dirt in there From a previous headphone being plugged into it, it could have broken off and gotten lodged inside of it. If that is the case, then you will need a pair of tweezers with a really long fine tip. So that you can reach inside very gently and grab hold of whatever you can grab hold of from the old earphone or dust& dirt but don't reach in there unless you see something that doesn't look right it's not Necessary if it's totally clean. One thing I can tell you from my past experience is that when your phone or Ipod whatever you are listening to goes in and out of your pocket it wears down the material, that then forms lint and that lint often times ends up in places like your headphone jack for instance and sometimes it just needs cleaned out really carefully and I have to stress be very careful. If nothing is wrong with the jack then you might have a bad audio encoder chip on the motherboard and in that case take it to a computer& electronics repair shop and have them test the board unless you know how to do all of that and have the proper equipment for chip reballing. I hope this helps you in some way and I totally love feedback as to if you fixed it or need more help so let me know!!!
