A new version of the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 was announced in February 2019, with Android 9.0 Pie (upgradable to Android 10 and 11), the Exynos 7904 chipset and an IPS display with an unchanged resolution. The rear flash is removed, S-Pen support is dropped and the battery is smaller, while the front camera is upgraded to 5 MP and the speakers are now stereo. Models numbers: SM-T515 & SM-T510.

UNRESPONSIVE TOUCHSCREEN after 3rd NEW replacement digitizer.

As the title says, ordered 3 brand new replacement digitizers (from different sellers, all on Amazon), and all three power up but the touchscreen is completely unresponsive.

I suspect a software issue. I performed a update, but it didn't help (not sure if it hurt me).

Any ideas? Or some digitizers just obsolete after new Android updates? I read some chatter about these digitizer replacements faulty drivers.

Would really like to find a software solution before I forced to chip away broken glass to salvage original responsive touchscreen. TY!

Hi

Try restoring you phone to see if it’s a software issue as if it is it should go away after a restore

If that doesn’t work try taking the motherboard out and inspect for damage or discolouration as it could be a board related issue

I would pay close attention to where the screen and digitiser plugs in ,I would also give the connectors (both screen and board) a clean with some isopropyl alcohol and some cotton buds/Qtips as iv had screens act strangely and it was microscopic dirt I couldn’t see on the connectors
