Why is my Brita Basic Faucet Filter System leaking?

After about 4 months, the faucet filter is now leaking from the unfiltered side while set to filter. At higher pressure, it will leak from the selector knob and the seam in the base. I would like to know how to disassemble it so I can investigate what is leaking.
