Fire device on/off button stuck

I have an Amazon Fire device that is several years old. The on/off button is stuck in the depressed position. How do I get it "unstuck"?

Hi @ghenaghen

What is the model number of the tablet as found on the back cover?

This is so the correct model can be identified.

Had it been dropped? Any damage around the button? If not they are a doddle to open. Find a video on say changing a battery or something to show you how. When you have access to the internals push the button back out from the inside. If the button is dirty use a cotton bud with some ipa or spray a bit of wd40 on the bud to clean it. Push the button a few times to clear any dirt. Hope it helps.
