Apples Time Capsules use a custom Unix file system which can't be cloned!

What you can do is copy off the files to a temp drive, take the Capsule drive out and hook it up to your Mac to reformat using GUID/HFS+ This is wipe the drive to a point the Capsule can then reformat it self when you put the drive back in. (shining its a fresh drive) or if the drive is to far gone, just replace it. Just don't use the drive you've used to off load the Capsule as you will then loose your data!
