Hi. I recently ordered an iFixit replacement keyboard for my 13" 2018 Macbook Pro Retina. The problem: I can't find an iFixit guide for performing the keyboard replacement. No way I'm doing this by the seat of my pants. Anybody out there aware of a replacement guide?

I am aware that this video isnt for your model but the procedure is the same(you will also need to get to the bit where they remove it in the video)
Here’s a dissasembly of the device up til the logic board(you will just need to remove the screws and I clip the connectors after)

Just a warning as this repair is quite difficult as the keyboard is riveted into place whitch makes it Alot harder and more dangerous

Sadly, I really don't recommend going down to this level as its not for the faint of heart! Even I don't do this as Apple has gone too far in making one of the most worn parts the hardest to repair and cost less (L&P)!
Your best bet is just replacing the full upper case assembly;
∙ Upper Case & Keyboard - Space Grey (4TB 18/19) Apple P/N 661-13159
∙ Upper Case & Keyboard - Silver (4TB 18/19) Apple P/N 661-13160
Note: There are quite a few versions of the keyboard layout so make sure you get the correct one.
I recommend using @danj s links as mine are quite long videos:-)

Sorry, the keyboard is not supposed to be replaceable as its glued to the top cover.

I just tried the keyboard upper case replacement and the keys did not work, nor did the fans come on after spending hours switching over all the internal and external components. I suspect that the T2 chip is preventing these parts from working. Anyone else find this to be the case?
