Take a flash light and point it at the LCD. If you see the os...it's related to your backlights. If not look at the lights that normally flash when laptop is processing and listen for hard drive and fan as clues. That's where you can start

Hi,
Please confirm the model number of the laptop?
Have you tried connecting an external monitor tot he laptop and check if it shows a display at all?

I have tried connecting it to a tv via HDMI but you have to see the screen to be able share the screen

hold the windows key down (by the space bar) and type “p” (for projector); you can also try win + p + p (as it actually toggles between modes like here, here and there, and just there)
also, assuming tv has the right hdmi as input (like borrowing cable from current working source)
or pita, check your router for connected devices, then various ways to remote in (rdp if enabled, or pshell enter-psSession, or old school psexec via sysinternals)
once you confirm it’s just the screen, you’re on to pita screen repair (but at least not the even-more-pita mobo repair)

and if you do replace your screen, be sure to help the community out (ifixit has a mobo swap guide, but not one for a screen)
