2011 iMac 21.5 inch kernel panic

Hello,

I have an iMac from 2011 that I acquired without a hard drive. For some reason, no matter what OS I put onto it (via USB) it kernel panics and restarts somewhere during the boot process. Once time, I got into the High Sierra installer, and something popped up telling me to restart, shutdown, or save something to a log.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

For anyone else with this problem:

Turns out it was a bad RAM stick

Hi @gaussymousy
I haven't had any experience with this as i use an imac 27" (That has coloured bars on the screen)

Firstly, have you tried swapping out your hard drive? It could be faulty

Next, have you checked all your connections are firm and in place?

Finally, have you tried researching online to see if anyone else has had this issue?

Good luck,

Nick p
