Just installed blowing hot air when set to cool
(old Honeywell wiring)
I just installed a new ecobee3 lite thermostat and I am getting hot air when the thermostat is set to cool. What do I need to change?

Where's the other blue wire that is on RC in the 1st image or was it just shorting out RC & R?

Ok need some info. Do you have a heat pump? It doesn't look like it but have to ask. Heat pumps default to heating. The wiring looks correct. You might also have a short somewhere that is turning the heat on. What have you checked?
