What role does this part play?
It's bent because the opener is too deep What role does this play?

This piece is mostly just a bracket to help hold things in place, but it does have contact points on it. So, if you've broken any of those contact points or it is just bent completely out of shape, you can easily replace it.

Also, it doesn't hurt to see how the phone works without it. These brackets are useful in most cases, but sometimes they seem almost as if they are just for show.

Thank you very much for your answer The speaker is tingling at low power. I live in Korea, so I can't buy that
The little pins on the bracket are for grounding. You should be able to bend them back in place without affecting functionality. If they are all broken I would see if you can find a replacement bracket from a vendor that ships to you. But otherwise I wouldn't be overly concerned.
those appear to be speakers, but I am not an iPhone person.
