Raspberry Pi's are designed to have a really small form factor and sadly this makes it hard to have modular RAM.

Therefore you can't add more RAM to a Raspberry Pi, if you need a Raspberry with 8GB of RAM you will need to buy the Raspberry Pi 4 equipped with 8GB RAM.

If you don't need a small computer but you need to have one that has 16GB RAM and is more powerful, Raspberry Pies just aren't what you are looking for. They are made to be small and this makes them not able to be that extremely powerful.
