My sega turns on but the tv does not recognioze

What have you tried?
I have this same problem maybe someone can help....I have a first generation genesis 2nd variation....the device powers up but I only get a static screen...I have tried a different tv as well as a different rf switch and neither worked....could this be motherboard or pin connector?
