Replaced Battery and Not Detected

I replaced the battery in my hp envy laptop, and at first it said battery not detected but it would still boot, and just not show a battery percentage, but now, it wont boot at all off battery power. If I plug in the ac adapter, the status LED goes orange and when powering on, it starts flashing white, but it will boot normally. But as soon as I unplug the charger, it turns off. And it will not charge. Also if it helps I did buy the battery from IFixIt.
