3DS XL wont turn on, when plugged in orange light is on

I recently changed my top screen and before assembling the bottom half i tried to turn it on by holding the battery in place. The bottom screen now was not working but the top one was. So i played around with a few ribbons and tried it again and both screens were working. After assembling the 3ds i went to power it up and no blue light or screen powering at all. If i plug it in , the charging light comes on and when i press the power but the light flashes onces and nothing happens .

I could use some guidance if anyone has an idea
