Damaged Screen, ribboncables or something else?

Hi everyone!

Recently i attempted the battery replacement of my surface pro 4. Everything went smooth with it, but when i started it up i saw that the screen would stay black. I can see the reflection of the backligth on, but i get no image on the screen. I managed to connect an external monitor and everything else is working fine, although i don't get feedback from the touchscreen either.

Everything points to a screen damaged during the removal but i dont see any problem on the ribbon cables nor on the screen itself in a close visual inspection.

Before purchasing a replacement screen wich are not cheap, i was wondering if i should check anything on the board that could be the cause of the failure.

Any experienced opinion would be greatly appreciated.
