Vertical Colored Bar After Screen Replacement

Replaced a screen for a friend, and this occurs after about a week, anyone have any insight as to what might have went wrong? She said she didn’t drop it, or anything like that, and nothing went wrong during the replacement. Touch screen still works but “acts weird.” She said it randomly occurred after unlocking it.

This might be damage to the screen, I don’t know how it would’ve gotten there, if the phone wasn’t dropped, but that’s probably what it is, sorry I don’t know more about why this happened.

aerknight that is a failed display. as for the way, we'll never know. Remember that a lot of times the refurbisher does not use new screens. Those can easily be a recycled display which may have undergone "glass only" repairs. I would contact whoever provided the replacement and see if you can get it exchanged. Otherwise the only other options is to do another replacement. Just make sure you purchase from a different seller.
