Screen is too dark when turned on
I replaced my original cracked screen with one from ifix it and it worked for 2 - 3 weeks. Now when I turn on the phone, the backlight flashes on very briefly and then off. I am concerned that I may be out $150.00 for a faulty screen.
Would you all recommend that I remove the screen and the connections to make sure a cable has not come loose? It is a pixel 3a xl, and the screens can be a pain to remove and I don’t want to accidently crack the screen on removal and then be at square one.

In full disclosure. I removed the screen, unhooked the flat connecting cable and unscrewed the buckle (not sure what it’s called) holding it down , then reinstalled the screen and buckle and it seems to be working again.
Let’s see if this fixes it and it lasts for longer than a few weeks. All I can guess is that the cable was not seated exactly right and became loose over time? There buckle holding down the cable was still secure btw.
