Router getting IP, but unable to browse internet

The device mentioned here is not right. I am unable to see mine, hence selected this as a dummy. My device is Netlink — HG323RGW.

I just bought a new ONT modem for my FTTH internet. I configured the same, and checked the status. It shows as “enabled, on” and also, it shows an IP address that it got from ISP. However, I am unable to connect to internet. I tested by entering a wrong password, the IP goes off and status shows “diabled”. However, the IP I got is 64.64.64.64 and that is an intriguing IP. Can someone please help me?

If your router is getting an IP address but you're unable to browse the internet, there could be a few different issues causing the problem. Here are some steps to check:

  1. Check the connection between router and modem.
  2. Check the router's WAN or internet settings and make sure they are correct.
  3. Check the modem's settings and make sure necessary services are enabled.
  4. Try connecting directly to the modem to check internet connection.
  5. Check for any software firewalls or security software that may be blocking internet access.
  6. Restarting the router and modem may resolve the issue.

If the problem persists, contact the router or modem manufacturer for further assistance.
