My laptop auto restarts and it can’t find my sata drive.

My laptop, Acer predator g9-793 seems to auto restart when i turn it in.. it takes roughly around 40 seconds after i press the on button.. then it restarts on its own either plugged or unplugged. I have a theory though that it might have something to do with the back panel button that allows the system to boot but i don’t know how to troubleshoot it.

Pls help.

Hi!!

still the same, so aprox. 40 secs more or less the laptop will auto restart. I Tried reformat. Complete reset. Boot to another drive, same result… however, here’s the thing, Sometimes, It will boot up to windows if i screwed the back panel perfectly. Like not too tight, not too loose. It’s literaly driving me crazy. And it will run with no issues up until i shut down the laptop and when i boot it up again tje next time, it starts to auto restart again.

Hi,

What happens if you start the laptop in safe mode?

Hi @josich21

Seems like a loose connection somewhere.

Maybe check the SSD and HDD connection and any cables (battery?) that plug into the motherboard to make sure that they're all secure.
