Phone not saying turbo charger connected

My phone says turbo charger connected when I plug in the charger. Recently, my phone does not say this when plugged in. I bought a new one thinking the charger was broken or old but this issue is still happening. I'm not sure what's going on. Can you help?

My Moto G6 also doesn't show this message sometimes when turbo charger is connected. I need to connect & disconnect twice or thrice then message appears & charging starts. When connected & disconnected as above, then, invariably, after charging, phone shuts down automatically when my first call ends. This automatic shutting down surely takes place when message doesn't appear in first instance when charger is connected. If message appears at first instance when charger is connected, then phone doesn't shut down. Can anyone help me to rectify problem?

I had the same issue recently and realized I had the wrong cable connected to the charger and phone and as soon as I used the correct cable I got the TurboPower connected message.

Also if the phone is over 78% charged the turbo may not display.

Let me know how you make out with this issue.

Mike

now the opposite happens for me. Above 78% it charges using turbopower and below it only charges radpidly, which takes 1.5 hrs approx to reach 80. (All this using the stock charging cable, other charging cables work as usual)

This usually doesn't happens much in Motorola phones until they are 2-3 years old. However, if it's not showing turbo charging then you can check once in your settings and battery health to see what kind of charging is happening.

You can get your charging spot/jack changed and mention that you need a turbo charging jack.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago, it's sorted now.

All the best 😀

My wife and I both had Motorola Edge + and both our USB ports failed. Mine was repaired and it failed again within two months. The Edge + is the first flagship they make and obviously, they need some tuning. Our phones also couldn't connect well to Android Auto Wireless. We changed them for Samsungs and everything is fine now.

I blew my port out with an air paint gun, which seems to have worked for me. If you have a can of compressed air I would think that would have the same effect.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the issue. It tried that multiple times and it didn't work. I ended up going to a phone repair shop that diagnosed half my USB-C port had died and replacing it was 150$

Used to have the same problem and had it diagnosed by a professional that half my USB-C port had died. Had it changed under warranty and it failed again after 3 months. Now I charge it wirelessly.
