How upgrade ssd for asus x560u

Here’s a video that shows how to open the laptop and to replace the sata HDD with a sata SSD. HDD removal starts at ~3:46 minutes into the video.

Here’s a supplier of compatible replacement SSDs, (click on storage). It is only to show what is available, their cost and also that a 9.5mm adapter is required, no doubt to correctly position the SSD, as it will be thinner than the existing HDD.

Usually suppliers of SSD also link software so that you can clone your HDD to the SSD before replacement so that there will be a seamless transition, i.e. if you clone the SSD first and then install it, the laptop should start up immediately like before with the HDD.

You can also upgrade the memory (ram) up to 32GB i.e. 2 x 16GB modules, if you require even better performance
