Do I heat the back cover, to remove it?

I saw your video, and it indicates using a heat gun, but then it never show’s when. I have tried using a thin metal piece (like in your video), to remove the cover but have been unable to get it started. So I wondered if using the heat gun for this step is what was indicated.

No, you do not heat the back panel on this tablet to remove it. Instead, the back panel on this tablet is secured with clips. Refer to this guide for the removal process.

I was able to get it started on the side near the SD card slot. It will take some time though…

I think the reason for my difficulty is that I need to replace the “battery”, because it has started to expand, and warp the case. Hopefully with patience this will come out OK, and I can replace the old battery.

Thank you for your advice on not needing to use the heat gun…
