Resistors and capacitors vaules around power supply part?

Hi everyone!

So i got xbox one S form friend. Xbox was flooded by a cat urine :C. a lot of rezistors and capacitors around power supply part are just very very rusty. I need to know values ALL of them to buy new ones.

Btw i know that this “fix” is probably not worth it so please do not write anything like": “let this console die” or “it’s not worth , buy new one”

So i unsolder memory(i guess it’s memory and it looks just fine. Now it’s time to clean it up and solder it back. Wish me luck

@werfex clean your board with some 96%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush first. Of course, best way of cleaning that particular board would be with an ultrasonic cleaner, but if you do not have that use the aforementioned method. Then post a picture of that clean board with your QUESTION as well. You really have to narrow it down otherwise you will be looking at an extensive repair and most likely could get a replacement board for lot less time/money. But lets see what we can find out about all of this once its clean.

I agree with the above comment, clean the board very well and see how things look then. Out of those components the most likely to be bad is the small chip just above the rusty capacitors in your pic.

@oldturkey03 so to be honest, it was already cleaned, it is still dirty on pictures bc it is just very old, i mean my firend left it for ONE YEAR, I probably need to use hot air to remove this mess(yes i used isopropyl). My question is very difficult i guess bc i need values of all capactiors and all rezistors in this area. Microsoft didn't share schematics of this console so i have no chooice.

@werfex so I have to break it into smaller pieces. I will add to this answer with every “block” I identified. Components that are marked as “desolder” cannot be measure in circuit and will have to come off. So you will have to bear with me on those.

Hi!

So i have checked mosfets and all of them are fine except one. If my knowledge about mosfets is good , n-channel type shouldn't has current flow through Source and Drain. One of 4C50 has this issue.

Next thing, three solder pads of the one mosfet "become" one(more on pictures in update). I mean there is 3 sources and one gate pin but im not sure if it is a problem or not.

Next thing, are you sure C9D21 is 400uF? I can't even find it to buy, biggest one that i have is 10uF, and one the site with electronic (www.tme.eu) the bigest smd capacitor is 220uF.

Last thing, there is lot of capactiors and resistors that just "have disappeared". I guess they "escaped" when i was working not carefully with hot air. Is it possible later when we're done with this part of motherboard to find values of this components?

Again sorry for being lazy. looks like this project is going to take longer than i expected. waiting for parts delivery from aliexpress etc. can make it several week.

@werfex I will double check on C9D21 just to make sure. I have to desolder those caps since my ESR meter disappeared. So, the values I get are with he components out of the circuit:-) I will also check on Q9D4. Yes, I hear you about the disappearing components while using a hot air station :-) I lose that all the time and am now using mainly a soldering iron for removal. We can get those values at a later time for as long as you still have the reference designator printed on your board, we'll be okay.

@werfex C9D21 is actually 1uF. Wrong scale on the meter will do this ;-)

Oh okie dokie! unfortunately, school again so I have to wait until Friday to repair. Returning to this missing elements. There are still very good visible signs of them so thats good info. One last thing. I need to reball 4 of memory. I tried to put 0.6 metal balls with tweezers but it's almost impossible to me. Should i buy one of this plates?

I know they are compatible with PS4 but xbox one S has ddr3 ram too so maybe they are ok for this "operation"
