Disc gets stuck in slot

I put my discs in just fine but when I take them I out I have to put in a disc above it as I press eject and then it comes out. It doest do anything to my Blu rays but it scratches my DVDs. I've cleaned out a console or two and I'm wondering what I should do to fix it.
