Can I solder the power supply pin connector inside my acer aspire?

The pin that the power supply attaches to seems to be wiggling. I can only get flashes of connection. I think the pin is loose and needs to be resoldered inside the case. Is there any alternate way to fix it? Can I solder this myself (reach the necessary area) if I disassemble the unit?

Lizz Driscoll, I would think that you should be capable of soldering the DC connector into the board. (if you know how to solder). If not then I would get an old logic board first and practice first. There are some guides like this, on here. Here is a guide that will show you how to dismantle and here is the part that you need. Good luck and let us know if you need any help ;-)
