iPhone 5s dead after being left off

Hi. So I have an iPhone 5s, basically Some months ago I left it locked and then it died because of low charge, long story short, months later, it’s now dead, not charging, not heating up, no low battery logo, no apple logo, nothing, the home button wasn’t very responsive when it was alive so it’s a little difficult to do the reset trick, I opened it and something that gave me some hope is that I can hear a very faint and fast clicking noise coming from the motherboard when plugged in, is there any hope for this phone or is it long dead?

Thanks.

I had a tablet that had been off for some time. As in over a year. Wouldnt do anything. I left.it plugged in for like a week, and it started back up. Maybe try that? Otherwise you'll need a new battery.

@overflowunt your phones symptoms seem to be pretty consistent with a depleted battery. Replace that and after that re-evaluate your phone situation.

How to replace the battery in your iPhone 5s

That was the culprit, I got another free 5s and took the battery out and put on this one, and it seems to be recognized by my PC and I could restore it successfully (using a different home button of course) unfortunately when opening it I accidentally broke the LCD cable.

One thing that I noticed is that the phone doesn’t vibrate or have any sound (not even through the headphone jack), same thing applies for the other 5s I have here (which also has no screen, both are recognized by my PC on iTunes and 3utools), is that because it detects the screen is broken or something?

Yes it is possible that this is screen driven but unlikely since it should at least vibrate. There maybe multiple other issues going on with the phones. Double check the flex etc. Make sure that you got your files of those etc. just in case.....

I find it strange since these phones vibrated normally when they were being used, the second 5s worked normally (before it never turned on after also being left in a box, I turned it on after charging the battery on the first iPhone 5s, it also couldn’t restore successfully on ITunes with error 4013, only 3utools) while the first 5s has speaker issues, they are actually restored so if they boot they should be on the Hello screen, I’m not sure if they are booting because of the screens but my PC detects the iOS version and everything, should I wait until I buy the screen to test them more?

@overflowunt I would at least give it a try after replacing the LCD. See what it will give you and let us know.
