Wii turns off a second after turning on
I have the Wii all plugged in and the console shows the red light indicating that it is on, but when I put in a CD, turn it on from a Wii remote, or press the power button, it immediately turns off.

Do you have an Wii2HDMI or similar device plugged into your Wii?

@andrewsawesome no I don’t, everything I’ve got plugged into the Wii is from the original packaging

@Natasha Varma If you plug out everything but the power supply and use the power button, does it turn on for more than a second?

@andrewsawesome no it doesn’t. It’s weird because when I press the power or any button that I’ve mentioned before, it turns off after a second. To turn the red light back on, I have to specifically remove the plug from the back off the Wii for it to give the red light, otherwise if I just turn it on and off from the main socket it won’t turn on.

@andrewsawesome I’ve had the Wii packed up for a year if that changes anything. It was working perfectly fine last year July.
