Mistakenly damaged the SIM card holder in my Samsung Galaxy Tab

I have mistakenly damaged the SIM card holder in my Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 3G.

I have been looking online for replacement parts and found the “BisLinks for Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 Sim Card Reader Holder Slot Replacement SM” but I was not able to find instructions on how to carry out the replacement of the part. Any Help would be appreciated.

Hi @pradetayo ,

Here’s a teardown video that shows how to open the tablet (assume you meant an SM-T561?) which will allow access to remove the systemboard.

Once the systemboard has been removed you will need smd (surface mount device) soldering skills and tools to remove/replace the SIM card reader. This is not a job for novices as you can cause more problems if you do it wrong. Perhaps get an old broken board and practise smd soldering on it first.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube that show how to do smd soldering although a SIM card reader will be more difficult as there are more connections than say on a USB connector for example.

If this seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote. You already know the cost of the replacement part ;-)
