Why won’t my Chromebook turn on

My Chromebook just won’t turn on, I tried restarting it, I tried doing everything in my power to make it work, I charged it a whole night as well, but even though I did that, when I press the power button, it flashes orange for a quick millisecond then just stays black until I press it again or if I plug in my charger, does anyone know a solution?

Not quite clear here. If I understand you correctly it turns on if -

1.) You press the power button again

or

2.) If the charger is plugged in to the Chrome book.

I that correct?
