Who is a reputable, but "affordable" recovery lab?
My external stopped being recognized by my pc, attempts at recovering files with software recovery programs have failed - because they cannot find the drive at all. I cannot afford most of these Professional Labs, but my files are vital. Can anyone recommend a trusted repair/recovery lab that is affordable? or is there no such thing?

Have you opened the case? Does the drive have a standard SATA connector on its circuit board or WD's proprietary interface?
