Power / Diag. LED is blinking.

Recently my E1200 stopped working. First, I tried ''power cycling it and now it takes me to the firmware management page I pressed cancel, rebooted again at firmware page.

I guess firmware is corrupted. Tried replacing/upgrading firmware but connection always disconnects, tried different ports, cables and reseting it, nothing happened.

I got it to install firmware after many tries and it did it successfully. After it booted up, I logged back in to reconfigure it changed IP parameter (just changed from 1.1 to 2.1), saved conf. and it restarted, started blinking again.

Firmware I downloaded is correct for the model.

EDIT: So I reinstalled firmware again and now it works. reconfigured it again, now it works mostly. DHCP isn’t, but that is just mild annoyance/inconvenience at least I can use the %#*@ router.

Hi @mm332 ,

Is the power light slow blinking or fast blinking?

If fast blinking it is a WiFi protected setup error.

If slow as you say then a boot up problem or perhaps a WiFi protected setup connection problem

@jayeff

Thank you for help.

It turned out somehow that it got corrupted twice. Don’t know why now DHCP isn’t working, but that is a problem for later date.
