Trackpad, display backlight and keyboard not working
My friends MBA stopped working this morning. At first it just appeared the display backlight wasn’t working (if you shine a light behind the logo cutout you can see some of the screen) however, if i try to log in to his profile, it is impossible to find the cursor. If I connect an external mouse it works though? Additionally, the keyboard is not sending any input except for when I power it on, in fact it registers that I’m pressing all the relevant keys for safe mode and such so it isn’t a connection problem. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Did your friend have a liquid spill at some point?
This sounds like a battery issue pressing on the keyboard and trackpad, but you throw in the display which tells me you have something deeper going on here like a liquid spill.
