Why would I have to sign into icloud everything time I start my phone?

Hello everyone. A coworker just bought a new iPhone 11 from Best Buy. She set it up and everything seems to work normally, except when she restarts the phone it boots to a setup screen, asking her to sign back into iCloud and even select a backup. All in all it only takes a minute, there is no loading or downloading from iCloud.

It’s a weird problem that I’ve never encountered before. I originally thought that maybe the restore wasn’t finished, but she’s had the phone for a week now and it’s still doing it. The only thing I thought to suggest is wiping the phone and starting a new restore.

Has anyone else seen this issue? TYIA.

This is usually caused because one of the apps on the phone requires updating. Go into the app store and see if you can find out which one.

Thanks for the reply. I checked and all apps are fully updated.

I believe when performing a restore the phone automatically updates all apps to the newest version.
