2011 Terrain Driver Seat power controls wont work!

Hey everyone so essentially my GMC Terrain 2011 is stuck at a 45 degree angle because the power seating wont sit it up, it will slide it forward and back. Raise and lower the seat but the lean controls dont work and im unsure how to actually get to the power controls on this vehicle.

Hi,

Here’s a link to the 2011-2012 Terrain service manual.

Scroll down to Accessories and Equipment and click on Power Seats

When the document opens, find the lumbar motor circuit diagram and use it to check the operation of the motor etc.

If that is OK then perhaps you need to run the diagnostics as described.

Towards the end of the document it also describes how to access the modules, motors and switches etc

Hopefully this is of some help.

I do not know this vehicle, but the first thing I would do is check the fuses. Next, check the wiring at the switched and the switches. If there is automatic functions as in multiple driver settings or other movement that occurs without switch activation, you have a controller problem.
