Screen replaced. Now has a ripple effect around the edges...

Hi,

I replaced the digitizer on my iPad Air 2. Now there is a rippling-image effect around the screen when it’s touched. I did not completely seal back the new screen to the case yet to make sure all is right. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
