Mushy home button, only the gasket needs to be replaced?

I can push down the left most side of the home button and the right side will pop out just a little out of the hole. The button still functions, although it does need more force to activate. This does not happen on my iPhone 4. I’m not sure if this is a button, gasket, or something else issue.
