You won't be able to load OS9 on a G4 as a stand alone. It only works as "classic" and is installed as a file with OS10. I am including Apples guide on which computers can run OS9. Ralph

some of the items are really expensive, BUT... if nothing else they have a very extensive listing of products and it's a good resource to find some obscure, original stuff. you can also find original Apple part numbers (either hardware or software), including P/Ns for repair parts
if you're thrifty, you can do your research there and then shop around :)
