oven problems on brand new stove

We purchased a Vulcan SX36-6BP, propane, installed in residence, gas pressure has been checked and is correct. The oven pilot comes on, stays on, oven will light goes out in about 5-10 min. If the shield over the burner and the bottom oven floor is removed the burner will stay on. The burners on top of the stove work but the flames are about 6+ inches high. Any ideas?

Hi @dutchbaker ,

Looking at a service manual for Vulcan gas ovens (see p.44 - hopefully it is applicable to your model) it seems as though there may be a problem with the adjustment of the oven’s gas regulator and burners’ air shutters to get the correct flame.

If it is brand new it may be better to contact the manufacturer about the problem if the oven was installed by a professional gas fitter and they couldn’t get the flame adjustment correct.
