Desire 816 not turning on after charging and battery replacement

My HTC desire 816 hasn’t been turning on for a long time now. I tried charging in several outlets but every time I tried it just showed me a charging symbol and it didn’t charge. Now I replaced the battery and it’s not even showing me the symbol, it’s just blank. Can anyone tell me what’s wrong?
