Keyboard backlight stops working

I cant seem to find anything all over Google showing me the inside of my laptop but this thing keeps having persisting problems including the keyboard backlight turning off when certain pressure is applied around the TouchPad area (like resting your wrists while typing) and turns back on after. What should i be looking for when i take the back off to fix the backlight problem.

@blondiix so if it were me, I’d be looking for a pinched flat cable or a regular cable. Sometimes, a pinched cable is a short waiting to happen. When you apply pressure, the pinched wires touch and ground/short out and when you release the pressure the wires disconnect.

flat cables are harder to notice and sometimes they are actually grounding without any easily visible clues.

Good luck and let us know how things worked out.
