Audio stopped working: No output or input devices found
My audio has stopped working. Using the sound preferences window, I am able to see that it say that it says “No output devices found” and “No input devices found”. After doing some reading, it seemed like the most likely cause was the I/O board. So I ordered a replacement from IFIXIT and replaced the board. The replacement worked find, for a single day! The next day it was back to the same old no devices found problem.
My question is did I just get a replacement I/O board (it was used, since that was all they offered) and I should just try replacing it again? (It seems like a waste of time.) Or is this some sort of deeper problem? Is this a common problem on the Macbook Air (Early 2015 edition, model A1466) that has a more root cause and, hopefully, solution?
