Hi i’ve just bought a brother printer 1612w. It works fine when it’s connected by usb and it also works fine when you use the app. I can scan and print using the app. The issue is that the printer can’t be found without the app and my laptop cant print wirelessly. Does anyone know what the issue is?

Hi! John check if your printer and the laptop is in the same WIFI network name or antenna. This can be the cause you phone find the printer but the laptop no . Other cause is if you have more that one printer driver installed in your computer, You have to specify in the program at the time of printing which printer you want to use. You can also specify to the laptop system which printer you want by default. I hope this help you!

Assuming you are windows 10, did you install the printer in Windows settings?
